UV ink marked cards

UV marked cards can be the most practical and trickiest device for "magic" in the cards trick genre.

UV ink acts as invisible ink and has the incredible perk of deception. The UV ink can be controlled so that the host can see the markings the entire time as visible as ever, however, the audience cannot see any of the markings.
As far back as my research goes, UV ink is relatively new. Great magicians of this era have used UV ink (with special UV contact readers) and tricked millions of viewers live and on television. It is hazy where UV ink was first created, but the special ink is still in secret for the most part. It is relatively expensive for the raw material to make your own.

Content:I am interested in scanning the barcodes on the edge of a pack of playing cards face-down. I would like to pass the names and order of the cards to a laptop for recording, so that the pack can be replayed. What are the components and cost of such a system? I live in the U.K.
